What have you done to your Elgrand today?

Replaced my leaking washer bottle pump yesterday. Took me longer to position the jack than to do the swap over. The hoses were a little tight but also very pliable due to the heat. The splitter part actually fell off in my hands and I could see where both inlet ports were split dead centre on both. Old pump didn't want to leave the rubber grommet at first but after a few magic expletives it released. New one slid back in nicely and the hoses pushed on easily too. Really happy with the result as I now have washer jets as the roads are ridiculously dusty at the moment.

Today I went to fit the light bar and corners I made a long time ago as I am well under way with the matching lower clusters.
Remember these lol

Now I wired these so that if one bulb pops it’s on its own instead of taking out others with it , so you can imagine how I felt when I tested them and multiple leds have failed before I even fit them.
After investigating I have learned that the silicone I used is not compatible with either the solder or wire I used, most likely the solder.
So off they came.
Guess what I’m doing after our holiday.
Oh well , you live , you learn but keep smiling lol ——- just

All part of the fun mate, sure you will sort it out :D

Will look great when done👍

Where did the get the new front cats from?
Hi Mark, I got them from Geraint @Elementian including the decat pipes and a midsection box which I will fit at a later date, Geraint is a work from home general mechanic and does be very busy but if you pm him as above and include @Lisa-Marie he will get back to you with costs ,the quality of the exhaust is first class it took me longer to remove the exhaust than to replace

Yeah , I’ll sort them.
Thing is , arthritis in the hands only allows for minutes at a time now so it takes a while.
Did fit them if I’m honest but came straight off, looked good so I’ll persist lol

Today I replaced the rear cats will decore / straight through pipes and can confirm the fronts had failed Simon @Lpgc removed the drivers front cat and decored it when I send t up to him some weeks ago by trailer, on getting it back I decided to replace the fronts with the new exhaust I have had for some time ⌚ now ,Simon advise the compression test 20260531_124439.jpgcarry out was all good therefore the decored rears that I fitted many years ago did the job as they were intended. Looking at the passenger front cat there is no breakup at the manifold end but there is at the rearnot a great picture but you can see the damage

Know exactly where your coming from Dave, no arthritis for me but since I had a stroke a couple of years ago my left hand fingers don't always do what I want them to do and have a problem gripping with them.

In a funny sort of way makes it even more satisfying when I do manage to do things myself even if it takes a lot longer than what it used to :D

Latest part of my current updating spree is that I've properly fitted my Pivot throttle controller/cruise control and associated steering column button stalk. It's been hanging by cables for longer than I care to admit.

Is the Pivot hard wired into the OBD port as I have a D1 Spec throttle controller which hard wired into to the OBD port and have also got a iCar Pro Bluetooth module so I can read live data on my tablet which is mounted over the factory screen.

Both work great but to use the iCar I have to disconnect the D1 Spec to plug in the iCar to the OBD port and would really like to be able to use both at the same time

I seen on another thread that you can also read live data, is this with the iCar and if so could you tell me how you have managed to connect both at once if this is what you have done.

Should I even ask?
I removed an old one from my daughters CR-Z when she bought it, but the Honda adapter cables were different. As I think I know better, I wasn't paying for harnesses, so I made them from photos from helpful forum members and cross reference of connectors, which turned out not quite the same.
I am confident the wiring is same at unit, but I just haven't had time to bite the bullet...

Even if you manage to wire it correctly to the vehicle won’t you need to code it? Be far easier to buy an aftermarket cruise and wire it in like I’ve done
