Has anyone fitted an induction kit in there E51,to free up some space under the bonnet

I heard that @LeStempy lol
I fitted this one although it’s larger/longer than most ( could do without the middle canister, but it sounds lovely with it)

Ignore all the crud, it’s an old picture
You got something in mind @Breadman23
That looks good @Highway Dave
Is it much louder under the bonnet now, as I've got Elementian's exhaust system and dear wifey just about to tolerate it.
Any disadvantages of it?
Chris has got a couple for sale, but me being a complete idiot I don't know if it's simple plug&play or more elaborate work involved.
Would appreciate your imput, mate. Cheers

These have a lovely rasp to them but only when you hit the loud pedal, if sat still and you Rev the bus then the wife will hear it, likewise if you have to kick down whilst driving she “may” notice ( I do lol) otherwise in normal driving conditions they are not bad at all.
They do add a little more response to the throttle etc but these kits don’t add loads.
One benefit is the added room in the engine bay.
One downside I have with mine is the chrome work is plastic and can crack where the set screws/rivets are (haven’t looked at the ones Chris has but I know he would put you on to the better of the two and make sure you have a plug and play one
At the end of the day the best thing about these is the noise /looks and the added response

Just to add , mine is facing down to gain better air as because of my bonnet and the fact I removed the standard air ducting pipes .
Most would face up towards the ducting mouth on the front frame , they look better that way as long as the chrome work is neat etc ( plastic so can be painted etc)

They all seem to have a few cracks where the chrome is plastic, I think both of the ones I have have cracks, @guf I can sort you out here cheaper than ebay if you want one, business seller on ebay so they take fees.

Thank you both for your responses.
Will think about it Chris, slightly concerned about the noise as the van is a family bus...
If yours are simple plug&play then I might get one just to see how much I like it ;)
Are they maintenence free or some components have to be changed sporadically?
Sent you a separate question about rear lights on ebay as well Chris
Thanks again Dave and Chris

Does anyone have a link to an induction kit for the e51 series 3 as I would be interested in getting one but no nothing

Has a nice sound to it when you floor it, but under normal driving, there's no noticeable sound difference.
I fitted myself, bought from Chris on Ebay before I joined EOC. Simple installation, trickiest part was reconnecting the breather pipe, need small hands 😅.

Don’t suppose you have a link or know his eBay username so I can have a look at what he is selling?

Quick Question.... Can someone still source these?

Thanks
Walton
They do still come up on occasionally used on the Japan auctions but seem to be getting rarer now.

About 3 months ago about the best condition one that I have seen with all the connecting pipework including maf flange silicone hoses etc so a straight bolt on and with none of the damage that you quite often see on the chrome went for what I thought was a good price to from the winners user name I think must have been a UK or Australian bidder.

I was tempted to bid on it as at the time had room in a parcel at the warehouse for it and was starting to get a bit worried that the Power Chamber I had bought for mine was going to be too big to fit in the Elgrands engine bay.

Have deliberately not been looking on the auctions in the last few months as I do not want to tempt myself as I need to get what I already have fitted first so do not know if any have sold more recently but have just had a quick look and none available at present unless you want to pay stupid money for new.
